How does red Eastern red cedar compare in growth habits, looks to Leylandi Cypress?
Q. I have seen both of these and I like the looks of both, but I have heard good and bad about Leylandi, but not much about Eastern Red Cedar. Also can anyone say if Eastern Red Cedar is the same as Green Giant Arbovitae? Have heard that these two are the same, but was wondering why one is called Arbovitae and the other is called Cedar? are they in the same family or not? Thanks for your answers! which one is more handsome looking in your opinion?

A. Eastern Red Cedars are slow growers and will reach a mature hight of 50 feet and a spread of 15 feet. The Leylandii Cypress trees are fast growers, once established will grow 3-4 feet per year and will reach a mature hight of 60-70 feet and a spread of 20-30 feet. The Arbovitae trees are a form of White Cedar while they are still cedar the are not the same as Eastern Red Cedar. The easiest way to tell the difference is that Red Cedar will get white berries and will have scales that will hurt your hands if you rub your hands up and down the branches. Both are handsome if healthy. I'd do some research and see which grows the best in your area. Some may do better than others.

What Eastern Confernce point guard can start over Derrick Rose in the all-star game today?
Q. I didnt like it when the Bulls picked D. Rose with the number 1 pick in the draft... I definantly didnt like his performane in the summer league and in the preseason... but i must say he is deserving of the starting spot on the eastern conference all-star team... who do you think should start at point?

What days of the week do Eastern Orthodox members go to church?
Q. Are there any Eastern Orthodox people out there? What days of the week do you go to church? How long are the services? What time of day are they? I want to know all of this because I want to go to and Eastern Orthodox Church. Do I have to be baptized before I can even go to the church? Please answer. ^_^ It'll be cool! :) I can't give you a cookie, but you will get points.

A. The main service, the Divine Liturgy, is on Sunday morning and lasts about two hours. Many churches have Great Vespers on Saturday evening which is about an hour, unless it is a Vigil (Vespers and Matins), which is an hour and a half to two hours.
